There’s something really comforting about taking a familiar flavor and turning it into something a little unexpected. That’s how this apple pie pizza came together. It has all the cozy flavors I love in apple pie, like sweet apples, cinnamon, ginger, and that warm spiced smell in the kitchen, but it’s much simpler and a little more fun.

I love recipes like this because they feel special without being complicated. You only need one apple and a handful of basic ingredients, but it still comes out feeling homemade and creative. The ras el hanout gives it a little extra warmth and depth, which makes it stand out in the best way, and the agave adds just enough sweetness to bring everything together.
This is the kind of dessert that feels perfect when you want something cozy but don’t want to spend all day baking. It’s easy, comforting, and just different enough to make it memorable. Sometimes the best recipes come from just working with what you have and trying something new, and this one definitely feels like that.
Apple Pie Pizza
Yield
1 small pizza
Ingredients
- 1 apple, peeled and diced
- Juice of 1/4 lemon
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ras el hanout
- 1 teaspoon light agave syrup
- 1/2 of a 14-ounce pizza crust dough roll (jus-rol)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a small bowl, combine the diced apple, lemon juice, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, ras el hanout, and agave syrup. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
- Roll or press half of the pizza dough into a small pizza shape on a baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly over the dough.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Ras el hanout adds a warm, spiced depth that makes this a little more complex than a standard apple pie flavor.
- For a sweeter finish, drizzle with a little extra agave after baking.
- This is best served warm.
