This morning I was reminded by my phone of a photo I took one year ago this morning. Looking at the photo, it was rather shocking.

I thought to myself, I don’t think I look like that anymore, right?? So I grabbed my phone and walked over to the same location in our music studio and took an identical shot today.
There is no doubt that one year has passed, and that’s a good thing. Although I didn’t meet all of my goals (yet), I still have five weeks to go from when I started my exercise routines and a conscious effort of changing my diet and life habits.
Today I am 13 pounds lighter. My resting heart rate has lowered from 73 BPM to 62 BPM. My average blood pressure has lowered from 174/103 to 131/88. My blood sugar levels are usually within tolerance (80-140), with only a few spikes or drops. My face isn’t red and puffy anymore. I’m sleeping better. Less anxiety.
Overall, even if not perfect, still a win.
You can do it too. Don’t think you can’t. If you’re feeling like crap, drinking too much, working too much, not sleeping enough, eating boatloads of crappy food because you think you can’t make time to eat good food – you can make the changes.
Ten minutes of exercise a day is better than no exercise a day.
One less greasy cheeseburger is better than one more greasy cheeseburger.
30 minutes more sleep is better than 30 minutes less sleep.
Be the change you want to see in the mirror every morning. Hit me up if you have questions. I might not have all the answers, but I’ll help where I can.
Much love π€πΌπ
